Guild Insurance History
Pharmacy has been at the heart of what we do. We’ve worked hard over the last 60 years to make sure that no pharmacist has had to go it alone, through anything they may face.
From our inception in 1963, to our policies, event participation, government-level advocacy, providing access to risk management resources, and so much more, our history proves we are here at every step, and we’ll continue to be for the next 60 years and beyond.
Significant milestones in our 60 year history with the Pharmacist profession
1963
Guild Insurance established by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.
1998
In partnership with PDL, Guild launched a policy specific to non-proprietor pharmacists, ensuring they were protected from graduation right through to retirement.
2015
Insurance was made even easier for non-proprietor pharmacists to be covered, with Guild’s insurance cover automatically built into PDL membership.
2016
RiskHQ was launched, our online risk management resources centre, filled with articles and CPD based on data we’ve collected over our 60 years.
2020
COVID hit. When pharmacists came out of retirement to help serve the nation in its hour of need, we provided complimentary cover.
2021
Guild Insurance was bestowed with the honour of receiving the ANZIIF Small General Insurance Company of the Year award.
