Our Workplace Relations and Safety team provides the full spectrum of employment law advice and representation to a broad customer base, including associations, corporations, small and medium businesses, with a particular focus on the health, veterinary and childcare sectors.

The team regularly acts for Guild Insurance customers in employment-related claims such as:

unfair dismissal
adverse action/general protection
bullying
discrimination
post-employment restraint enforcement
whistle blowers investigations
breach of contract
workplace safety investigations and prosecutions.

In addition, the team provides sounding board advice to Guild Insurance customers on a range of workplace issues including performance management, award compliance, leave entitlements, underpayments, managing injured or ill employees, maternity leave, workplace surveillance, redundancy and restructuring.

The team is also experienced in drafting and reviewing employment contracts and workplace policies and contractor agreements, assisting with enterprise bargaining and disputes or more complex strategic advice.
